Before we get into any of that however. I feel it necessary to share my story because I want you to know that I was not always where I am today.

As you read above I went through some pretty tough times before I actually made this whole online thing work. I hit complete rock bottom, not only was the mortgage and car company coming after me but  I was using candles to light my house because the power company shut off my power. It was that bad. I seriously had no Idea what I was going to do.

If you would have asked me if it was possible for me to be in this situation only 9 months earlier I would have said you were crazy. I was making 80k a year and life was good money wise. I could pretty much buy whatever I wanted; I had a sweet car, a $380,000 house and I paid my bills before they were even due.

The only reason I gave all that up was because I felt like a prisoner.  I was working 80 hour work weeks and hated it. On top of that, I hated my boss, I hated my hour long commute to work, I hated making someone else rich with my blood, sweat and tears and the list goes on. Plus I figured Why Struggle to the Top in Someone Else's Business When You Can Start at the Top in Your Own? I saw a lot of these other guys who seemed like total idiots making money online, so I figured how hard can it really be?

Bottom line - I had to figure out how to make this business work because I could not for the life of me go back to that job and get stuck in the rat race. If I did I would never truly ever be able to find happiness. So here I am only 9 months into my business that EVERYONE laughed at me when I told them I was going to start and its a complete failure. I can’t say I really blame them for laughing though. I mean how many 20 years olds do you see that quit there job and strike it rich on the internet? Then again how many 20 years olds do you see with a 80k dollar a year job, a pimp car and a huge house?

Bottom line is that I am not average and I was not going to live an average life. I had to prove them all wrong. Up until this point I was not doing a very good job of that with my business though.

They say that sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you make a change and that it gets worse before it gets better. Well get this, to top it all off I get a letter in the mail that says my property taxes of 3,500 are past due and must be paid in FULL in 3 weeks or my house was going to some auction. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. I mean seriously, what would you do?

What happen next changed my entire course and was COMPLETY unexpected. I got a call from an old friend. Some of you may actually know him. His name is Steve Schuitt. He has made quite a name for himself over the past couple of years, was on the hit reality TV show “The Next Internet Millionaire” and is a top income earner in a business called MLM Goldmine.

We originally met when we were both trying to get our business off the ground. We would share ideas, strategies and call leads together. We stopped talking when Steve decided to pursue free strategies for building his business, with which he leveraged web 2.0 sites like MySpace and YouTube.

I just didn’t agree. you have to spend money to make money right? I was SURE he was going to fail.  Well obviously I was wrong because he did pretty damn well, however rather than swallow my pride and admit it, I became jealous and completely shut him out of my life. We both went on to do our own things I continued to spend all my money on opportunity leads, only to make hundreds of calls everyday and get hung up on over and over and over again (it sucked and was not what I had in mind when I quit my job). He continued to use his free techniques and let people call him.  He was making money and I was losing money but I was too hardheaded to see it so I paid the price.

Steve never gave up on me though, thank God, and he never took it personally. He still made attempts to stay in touch with me every now and than. When he called me this particular time to check up on how I was doing, my tone was completely different. Like I said, unfortunately sometimes you have to hit complete rock bottom before you can see from the right perspective, the type of perspective that helps you realize change is needed. If you keep doing the same stupid things over and over again you are going to get the same stupid results. I do have to say all of this could have been avoided with the right mentors and good advice, but hind sight is 20/20, we’ll talk about that later.

I Finally swallowed my pride and I asked Steve for help. Fortunately for me he was willing to lend me some advice. He gave me just one of his many strategies and I ran with it. I applied it immediately and in 2 weeks I had made $6,400 net profit. I was back in the game. That was enough money for me to pay my property taxes, and keep the car and mortgage company from taking my toys.  The best part is I didnt have to go back to my stupid Job selling cars.

I learned an EXTREMELY valuable lesson from all of this. Seriously IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE READ THIS…  The main reason that I failed was that I was hanging on to what I thought should work instead of letting go of it for what actually worked.  What ever you do, do not EVER get emotionally attached to your business. Keep what is working and scrap what is not. Also make sure you align yourself with the right team of people that are going to give you the right advice. Do not follow the blind.

With this new found paradigm, I became a student of the industry and reinvested my money that I gained from the strategy Steve gave me into my education, learning many new strategies that have made me a lot more money. Last year I spent well over $20,000 on seminars, eBooks, online courses and coaching. The investment was nothing however when compared to the pay out. (I give all those courses to my team mates when they join me)

The other cool thing about this entire struggle is I learned how to make money from nothing. That is something that no one will ever be able to take from me. That is far more valuable than just someone just giving me the money. If I were to ever lose everything I have or get back to where I was before, I know exactly what I need to do to pull myself right back up and I have the confidence to do it. Before we get into this too much more, let me tell you who this page is not for so you don’t waste anymore of your time is this is not for you.

I spend most of my personal time working one on one and in group settings with my team. That’s one of the key reasons for our massive success. With that said I don’t have time to waste with people that are not going to take this seriously. I’m serious about this. I actually turn down people all the time who want to give me their money because they simply don't have the right attitude. I know this sounds harsh but that’s just the way that it is. Besides there are plenty of other leaders out there who will gladly take your money and watch you struggle for a couple of months ignoring your phone calls until eventually you give up.

That’s just not my style. So with that said I do a brief 15 minute coaching session with each person that is considering our team and we both discover if we are a good fit for each other before we make the final decision about you joining our team. This is a serous decision and should not be taken lightly. We are going to be business partners for a long time and we are going to invest a lot of time together so its important to be sure it’s going to work out for both of us. Don't get me wrong you dont have to have any prior knowledge of the internet, marketing or sales. That is what we will teach you. There are many reasons why people fail but I think there are three big ones - laziness, poor mentorship and the wrong business.

Most people out there are looking to buy a winning lottery ticket and not a business. They are out right lazy and would rather sit around and watch TV than do the little bit of work that it takes to succeed online.

You know what - I’m okay with that though, it means less competition for me!

Most marketers out there and selling just that, a dream. A dream of getting rich wile doing nothing but giving them your hard earned money. They flash around big houses and fancy cars and large pay checks, claiming to have calls centers and replicated pages to do all the work for you. "All you have to do is plug and play"

They even claim to have systems that are 90% automated and completely remove the human variable. Our laziness wants to believe this, but don't fall for it. Here's the irony: the Human Variable is what is going to make you authentic and unique. I teach people how to leverage web 2.0 technologies, Adwords, SEO, PPC and print advertising to brand themselves. Each of us has something unique to bring to the table. This is more powerful than you might realize.

For this reason I do not promote turnkey systems at all. So many people want someone to just give them the fish. After all it’s so much easier that way, however, as I’m sure you know teaching someone how to fish is far more valuable. I work with my teammates one step at a time to build and test a marketing system that looks a lot like the one you are going through now. The best part is we will work one-on-one until your campaign is successful and you are ready to build your own team.

Although I must admit that I’m not always the one doing the teaching, I have equally learned a lot from my team as well.

I understand that that are tons of other businesses and “leaders” out there and it can be really confusing when looking at all of them and deciding which one is really going to allow you to have the kind of success that you are looking for. I was there once myself. I joined and failed with a lot of different companies and worked with a lot of different leaders before I found something that worked.

What I found by examining my failures and success was the key to succeeding, involved a combination of the right business and mentor. In order to truly flourish, both of these elements have to go hand in hand. When looking at a business ask yourself the following questions and if you can answer yes to all of them then you have probably found a business that is most likely going to work. If even just one of them is a no then I would suggest that you keep looking. Do not rush this. Choosing the right leader and the right business the first time around will save you a lot of wasted time bouncing from opportunity to opportunity and never finding success.

Company Questions:

• Does the company have a product that stands alone, that you can sell with out an opportunity attached to it?
• Does it have high up front profits so you can make a return on your investment right away?
• Does the company offer financing for people that can't pay the high ticket price?
• Is there true residual income where you will be paid on not only your efforts but your team mates as well for as long as they produce?
• Are there people that have joined before you in that company that have made more money than you are looking to make?
• Does the company have a good owner that looks out for his affiliates?
• Is there a brick and motor building that you can vist and meet the people that run the company?
• Is there a large hungry market for the product you are selling?
• Does the company have a proven track recorded in other words has it been around for more than 2 years and successful?

Team Questions:

• Are you able to call the person that is sponsoring you directly on the phone and do they have time to actually talk to you and answer your questions?
• Does it sound like the person you are talking to is telling you the truth or just what you want to hear?
• Do you get a good feeling when you talk to this person?
• Does your sponsor have the time to work with you one on one at least 2 hours a week or are they too busy with the thousands of people that they are bringing in?
• Does the team that you are joining meet on a regular basis to brain storm and share what’s working with the rest of the team?
• Is the team that your joining actually getting good results or are they trying to sell you with hype and automated systems?

Again really take the time to ask your self all of those questions when looking at getting started with something. You will be happy you did because cutting through the BS will get you where you want to go A LOT faster.

The Pay Plan

You get paid 1,000. Commission every time you sell someone the membership. If you decided to do what I do and start training a team the pay is a little more complicated but basically you make 1,000 every time someone who you brought on board makes a sale as well.
